The
community of Jackson Hole attracts outdoor educators and professional
resources. RTM has benefited from this and has maintained a culture of
talented and experienced staff.

with youth and/or troubled youth populations.
- We have a high staff retention rate. RTM staff usually
stays with the program for over 4 years. Many staff members return to
RTM after obtaining further training or education.
- Staff members are stable, mature individuals who
live in and contribute to the community.
- Staff members are active in all components of the
program. Residential staff supervise daily living as well as work in
the field, classroom and garden.
- Staff members are trained to provide a safe, therapeutic
environment and to establish healthy therapeutic relationships.
RTM staff receive 80 hours of annual training
and regular direct supervision. During the course of a year, staff members
attend a 5-day wilderness-training week, 1-day sessions prior to seasonal
wilderness trips, a 2-day staff retreat, weekly staff meetings, monthly
